Gabrielle and Trey got married at a stunning Historic Jordan Springs venue around Christmas time and the atmosphere of this intimate event was superb. With having to push things back and re-plan this wedding several times, being able to finally party with family and friends was a little extra special, after all it was also the celebration of their first wedding anniversary.
Gabrielle tells their story, “Trey and I first met when I was moving from one apartment to a new apartment. His mom worked at the same school I did and she offered Trey and his brothers to help move my furniture. However, I was in a relationship at the time. I think this was in 2015. About a year or so later, the relationship I was in had ended and I was talking with Trey’s mom in her clinic (she was the school nurse). She was telling me about this kitten Trey had saved on the job site. As she was telling me the story, Trey happened to call her. She put him on speaker phone, but didn’t tell him he was on speaker phone and explained she was talking to me, the teacher he had helped move the previous year. He responded with, “oh, you mean the cute one?” I turned about 50 shades of red, and being the second grade teacher I was at the time, I replied, “thank you for filling my bucket!” Since I have cats of my own, I shared my advice with things Trey needed to take care of his new kitten. His mom gave me his phone number to communicate this information. About a month later, we went on our first date. The first two and a half years of our relationship we were long distance, Trey in Maysville, NC and me in Manassas, VA. Trey moved up to NoVA in April 2019, we moved in together fall of 2019 and were engaged November 16, 2019. Due to covid we got married on our original wedding date December 20, 2020 and we are celebrating with friends & family our wedding and first anniversary (ish) December 19, 2021.”
Trey says, “Gabrielle is my lighthouse & anchor. She keeps me focused and I know she will always be there for me. She is beautiful, clever, kind”
Gabrielle says, “Whenever I am with Trey, I am home. He makes me feel safe, secure & loved. I can do anything as long as he is with me. He is thoughtful, encouraging and witty.”
Together Gabrielle and Trey love taking the dogs on hikes, reading, spending time together, antiquing, taking day trips to new places, traveling (when it’s not a pandemic).
We, Desmond and Vera from Fine Art Wedding Film, wish Gabrielle and Trey many more magical Decembers together.
